This month we bring you IDC updates, program information and deadlines, industry news, and upcoming events around the country.  

IDC is seeking members from the fields of interior design, education, media, manufacturers and materials suppliers, small and large firm and business owners, and other creative fields to join the roster of judges for three award programs.

IDC is proud to announce that Shaw Contract has become the official presenting partner of the IDC Regional Breakfast Program.

IDC presented a talk at this year’s Interior Design Show in Toronto on the ARIDO + IDC stage, highlighting a call to arms for a revitalization project at the Jean Augustine Centre.

Spotlight on upcoming events, accounts to follow, and recently published articles about the work, talent, and contributions of Black interior designers in Canada and the U.S.

Established in 1984, IDC organized the Innovation Awards to honour excellence in product design and creativity.

The purpose of this competition is to provide students with a national platform to demonstrate the value of interior design and illustrate the positive impact design has on the users of the spaces, supported by evidence-based research.

These awards shine a spotlight on Canadian interior designers by providing a forum to showcase the benefits of design thinking: an empathetic, inventive, and iterative process focused on the human experience within interior spaces.
