Thank you to everyone who joined us at IDC’s 50th Annual General Meeting on Nov. 4, 2022, which was hosted by Concept3 Business Interiors Ltd. (at their showroom) and Teknion in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A special thanks to all those who joined us in person. We appreciate your engagement and dedication to our profession.
I am incredibly honoured to be elected as your President for the 2022-2023 term and am taking on this role with excitement and enthusiasm for what the future holds for IDC and our members across the country. Along with help and guidance from the IDC board members and support from the IDC staff, I look forward to creating meaningful initiatives and hearing members’ feedback on IDC’s plans and strategies.
My goals as president are to nurture the relationships we have already created with the regulatory bodies across Canada and our sister associations and to build a powerful community where interior designers can collaborate and thrive.
Together we have achieved so much in 50 years. IDC continues to pursue many exciting initiatives and we look to turn to you, our members, for your voice, engagement, and opportunities for growth, to build upon the foundation that has been set for us and ensure that we have another prosperous 50 years ahead.
Collectively there is so much knowledge that we can harness from the experiences we have already gained, and I hope that as a community we are able to create a bright, meaningful future for the next generation of interior designers, as an association, as designers, and as an industry.
Sincerely,
Keshia Caplette
IDC President
