Gow Hastings Architects is a Toronto-based, award-winning architecture and interior design studio creating vibrant places for learning and discovery. We are seeking a skilled and resourceful Senior Proposal and Marketing Specialist to play an integral role in sustaining our practice and advancing its growth.
Working closely with the Partners and Creative Director, the successful candidate will contribute across business development, proposals, communications and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Proposals
Lead RFP/RFQ pursuits from start to finish
Track leads and identify new business and market opportunities
Develop written content for proposals, awards and media outreach
Support client, consultant and collaborator relationships
Coordinate press and media communications
Marketing & Communications
Develop graphic communications for proposals, presentations, awards, publications and marketing collateral
Maintain website content and support social media engagement
Coordinate project photography and visual documentation
Manage the image database and marketing resources

We specialize in the design of buildings and spaces for education—anywhere people gather to engage with culture, knowledge and ideas. Our portfolio includes more than 500 projects, from classrooms and campuses to research facilities, culinary schools, student centres, youth hubs and Indigenous teaching lodges.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Architecture, Design, Communications, Writing, Journalism or related field
- 6+ years of experience in a design services or AEC environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and business acumen
- Creative, self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
- Advanced graphic skills are an asset
