Website Interior Designers of Canada

Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance and Programs, the Membership & Events Coordinator will manage member services and database administration as well as events administration at the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC).

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual membership drive and renewal process at IDC
  • Administer and manage the association’s database for all members
  • Assist with all membership inquiries, direct questions to appropriate departments, then follow up
  • Manage the association’s member services programs including program discounts
  • Conduct annual evaluation of existing member programs and research and assist with the implementation of new programs that would benefit IDC members
  • Coordinate Continuing Education Credit for members – organize webinars with presenters, follow up with certificates of completion and evaluation
  • Assist with event registration both online and in person – prepare event notices, process registrations and collect payment
  • Assist with information gathering about venues for events, follow up with existing venues, conduct evaluation post-event
  • Support the Industry Partnerships and Communications & Marketing teams in the organization and management of various events and communications for members

Requirements:

  • Background in administration, sales, or events
  • Familiarity with non-profits and/or membership-based organizations
  • Experience with membership communications and coordination
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet competing deadlines
