Role Description

Dexign Matter Studio is seeking a full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer to join our team in Markham, Ontario.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our internal design team, consultants, contractors, and vendors to support projects from concept development through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

•  Assist in developing creative interior design concepts and design solutions.
•  Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and presentation materials.
•  Support FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and procurement processes.
•  Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and contractors throughout project phases.
•  Attend site visits, conduct field measurements, and prepare meeting minutes and site reports.
•  Assist with project documentation, material sourcing, and design presentations.
•  Support project teams in maintaining design quality, schedules, and deliverables.

Qualifications

•  Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Interior Design in Canada
•  Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
•  Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
•  Experience with rendering software such as D5 Render or Enscape.
•  Familiarity with AI-powered design tools and workflows is an asset.
•  Understanding of FF&E selection, specifications, and application in interior design projects.
•  Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
•  Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
•  Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for design.
•  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
