IDC’s Regional Impact Breakfast program, presented by ShawContract, celebrates the significant contributions of Canadian design professionals and the impact their legacy continues to have on the interior design community.

Impact Breakfast Central will be hosted in Toronto, Ont. on Sept. 20, 2024, at Aria (Third Floor). The event will honour Dayna Bradley, President of TPL Lighting, and Mahesh Babooram, Co-Founder and CEO, Ojiibik.

With more than 25 years of experience modernizing business operations, transforming internal work cultures, and driving sales through business development, Dayna sets the strategy for TPL, driving new business to the agency and having oversight for all operations of the company.

Before TPL, Dayna worked in the commercial furniture industry for more than 20 years, where she successfully led Canada’s largest Haworth dealership. She is recognized as an influential change leader, a mentor, the co-chair of the ROI Program for ARIDO, an active member of Toronto CREW, and an advocate for women and girls through the Canadian Women’s Foundation.

Mahesh co-founded Ojiibik, a First Nation, minority, woman-owned Teknion dealership in Toronto, Ont. He is a dedicated professional and design-focused thinker, continually seeking innovative ways to achieve excellence in his personal and professional life. Drawing inspiration from Interface founder Ray Anderson, Mahesh envisions a new standard for how a furniture dealer operates, challenging industry norms and pushing boundaries in the marketplace.

Mahesh has provided leadership in numerous industry initiatives, including the ARIDO ROI Charity Initiative since its inception in 2013, the ARIDO Golf Tournament, and the ARIDO GTA Student Committee. He is currently the co-chair of ARIDO’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Dayna and Mahesh will be live on stage in conversation with Carrie Burd, Interim Executive Director at the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment. Carrie is a nonprofit leader, consultant, coach, and founder.

Don’t miss this opportunity to network with your local design community, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and hear about the successes, challenges, and what’s next for the leadership team behind ARIDO’s ROI (Renew-Originate-Implement) charity initiative.

IDC thanks the presenting sponsor, ShawContract and table sponsors Global Furniture Group, Haworth, Mohawk Group, and Steelcase POI for their support.
