Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) invites Canada’s design and architecture community to come together to learn, connect, and network at IDC’s eighth Design Symposium. The two-day event will be hosted at Portland Square in Toronto, Ont. on October 29 and 30.
This event is presented by Benjamin Moore, Ciot, ShawContract, and Teknion.
“Being the presenting partner for the IDC Symposium again in 2025 is a natural fit for Teknion. As a proudly Canadian-owned and operated company, designing and manufacturing right here in Canada, we recognize the vital role this event plays in our industry,” says Pamela Mason, Director of Canadian Marketing at Teknion. “It’s an invaluable platform for supporting and celebrating the remarkable creativity and thought leadership of the Canadian A&D community, as together we shape beautiful and inspiring interiors for workspaces across Canada and around the world.”
New this year, IDC will provide a special programming stream for members interested in the residential design sector.
“The IDC Design Symposium is an important platform for dialogue, collaboration, and inspiration within Canada’s design community,” says Jennifer Donati, Corporate Marketing Director at Ciot. “As we mark 75 years of design leadership, Ciot is proud to align with an event that shares our values of innovation, excellence, and supporting the A&D professionals shaping the spaces of tomorrow.
Event participants can expect to attend design tours, connect and network with peers, collect IDCEC credits through panel discussions, hear from incredible speakers, participate in workshops, and celebrate the best of interior design at the IDC Awards Celebration, featuring the prestigious Value of Design Awards (VODA).
“We are thrilled to sponsor the IDC Symposium and support IDC in celebrating and advancing Canadian design excellence,” says Luciano Bonini, Marketing Director at Shaw Industries Canada. “We believe great design begins with meaningful connections — between people, places, and the planet. Through our brands — Shaw Contract, Anderson Tuftex, COREtec, and Shaw Floors — we empower Canadian designers to craft spaces that are as beautiful as they are purposeful, here at home and around the world.”
Thank you to Benjamin Moore, Ciot, ShawContract, and Teknion for their generous support.
This year’s program sponsors are Centura, Euro Tile & Stone, Mohawk Group, and Prolink.
Our design firm sponsors are CIBC and SDI Design.
“Benjamin Moore is honored to support IDC and excited to continue growing our partnership in the years to come,” says Lauren Corbin, Senior Manager, A&D Marketing. “We are united by a shared commitment to fostering strong relationships, elevating the design community, and inspiring the next generation of talent. Together, we proudly celebrate Canada’s interior designers and the transformative spaces they create through the power of color.”
