Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) is preparing its
seventh Design Symposium this fall. Canada’s design and architecture community is invited to Toronto Roundhouse (Rec Room event space), to network, learn, and celebrate Canadian Design together on November 6 and 7.

This event is presented by Teknion and Benjamin Moore.

As a Canadian designer and manufacturer of contract furniture, we take great pride in bringing Canadian design to the world,” says Pamela Mason, Director of Canadian Marketing at Teknion. “We are honoured to sponsor this symposium, which serves as a valuable platform for sharing best practices and fostering collaboration on innovative solutions for the built environment.”

Participants can expect to attend design tours, connect and network with peers, collect IDCEC credits through panel discussions, keynote speakers, and workshops, and celebrate the best of interior design at the IDC awards presentation, featuring the prestigious Value of Design Awards (VODA).

The event also features the IDC Annual General Meeting, where members will get an update on IDC’s activities over the past year and connect the IDC Board of Directors and the CEO, Trevor Kruse.

This year’s theme is Canadian Design at Home and Around the World. IDC invites members to reflect on what Canadian design means to them, learn from design experts, participate in discussions about issues facing interior design professionals today, and work together to find solutions.

Benjamin Moore is proud to support IDC and looks forward to deepening our partnership in the years to come, says Jose Veliz, Senior Manager, A&D. We share IDC’s commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, strengthening the design community, and championing the next generation of industry leaders. Together, we celebrate Canada’s talented interior designers and the transformative, colorful, and joy-inspiring spaces they create.

Thank you to Benjamin Moore and Teknion for their generous support.

This year’s program sponsors are BIYORK, Blum, Crown Surface Solutions, Euro Tile & Stone, Global Furniture Group, Keilhauer, Kohler, Marbella, Mohawk Group, Prolink, Torlys, and YA Fabrica.

Our design firm sponsors are Bullock + Wood Design and CIBC.

Stay tuned for updates on event programming for the 2024 Design Symposium.
