Since 1972, Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) has been the national advocacy association for the interior design profession. This year we invite members to help us celebrate 50 years as a member association.
To commemorate this great milestone, IDC has created a multi-faceted campaign to celebrate interior design and IDC members. The campaign will focus on honouring designers, storytelling, and showcasing diverse perspectives through the decades – from the early ’70s to today, and into the future.
Throughout the year, IDC will share articles about interior design trailblazers in the early years who helped build IDC from the ground up, honour notable designers today who created the much-needed changes both within the industry and at IDC, and collect stories about the future of design from members who will carry the legacy.
A video presentation will be shared with members at the 50th Annual Meeting this fall. To begin the collection of interviews, IDC will be reaching out to members throughout the year for various articles and projects.
Please share any interesting stories, images, or anecdotes with the IDC communications team at communications@idcanada.org.
