SUMMARY:CEU Webinar: Let's Start the Climate Take Back
DESCRIPTION:Description: \nAccording to research conducted by Interface and Net Impact\, 95% of climate experts believe that it is possible to reverse global warming and 91% of young leaders agree. The reason that both think it is possible is because we have everything we need\, and both think the only thing that stands in our way is business as usual. Last year\, the most comprehensive guide to reversing global warming was introduced by Paul Hawken entitled Drawdown followed by Bruce King’s The New Carbon Architecture. Interface’s ‘Climate Take Back’ plan offers an easy-to-understand framework which can be understood\, adopted\, and implemented by any organization. The research and the framework will be provided to all participants. \nLearning Objectives: \n1. Define embodied carbon and be able to talk about it with suppliers.\n2. Give examples from each of the (4) pillars of the framework.\n3. Think of specific opportunities for engaging with each of the Climate Take Back pillars.\n4. Understand carbon smart building beyond operational efficiency \nThis webinar accounts for one CE credit. \nSecure Your Spot\nPresenter: \nJoey Shea\nManager\, Mission Activation\nInterface \nJoey Shea is the manager of Mission Activation and Key Accounts at Interface. Joey’s job is to get as many people as possible joining in on Climate Take Back\, the business plan to reverse global warming. As Manager of Mission Activation\, he relies on his background in the environmental non-profit and advocacy sector to share how Interface connects successful business practices to deep environmental responsibility. \nThis webinar is presented by:
