She left her volunteer post with CIDQ to sit on the IDC Board and spent five years as a Board member\, establishing and Co-Chairing Provincial Legislative Calls and actively engaged on their Governance Committee. Kara has also endeavored to raise the profile of the interior design profession and foster relationships with our greater community serving on the Board of the Atlantic Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council\, as a Public Member for the NS Architect’s Association\, and for 12 years on the NS Advisory Task Force on Canada’s Internal Trade Agreement and Fair Registration Practices.
