Join IDC for \u2018Tales of Resilience’, a town hall focused on personal stories of interior designers who experienced the effects of an economic recession or financial crisis. Hear their tales of setbacks, survival, and ultimately, success. This event is free and intended for student and intern members to learn from senior designers and industry leaders, to ask questions and gain insight on how to move forward in their careers. The event will be moderated by Trevor Kruse, CEO of IDC. All members are invited!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Doris Hager<\/strong> is the founder and Principal of Hager Design International Inc., located in Vancouver, B.C. She has been involved in the Interior Design business for over 30 years, working with international hospitality clients, handling roll-outs and developing ever evolving innovative design concepts. Her extensive background has developed an impressive portfolio of projects across North America. Doris is a registered member of ARIDO, IDC, ASID, NEWH, and is BCIN accredited.<\/p>\n

\"\"Dyonne Fashina<\/strong> is Principal at Denizens Of Design inc., an Interior Design Studio specializing in hospitality, lifestyle and workplace environments. A graduate of Ryerson\u2019s School of Interior Design, Dyonne is a Registered Interior Designer with international recognition and experience in a diverse range of project typologies. Recently, she has focused on research in design strategy – the business value that good design thinking brings to a project.\u00a0 Dyonne thrives on finding meaningful connections to inspire everyone involved throughout the design process. She designs with compassion for the human experience, creating spaces that are not only thoughtful, but also thought provoking.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tiiu Poldma<\/strong>, PhD. FDRS CFERDIE, \"\"<\/a>IDEC, IDC, Designer d\u2019int\u00e9rieur certifi\u00e9 APDIQ\u00ae is full professor, School of Design (Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al), Director-FoCoLUM Lighting Lab\/GRID, CRIR regular researcher. She holds a BID, Ryerson (Honours), MA, McGill (Dean\u2019s Honour list) and PhD. (McGill), Fellow Design Research Society (2015), Compagnon FERDIE (2004). She is an award-winning certified professional interior designer with over 350 projects completed. She is co-recipient of CFI grant for innovation (3.65M$, 2006-2010),\u201dNouveau theatre de reelle\u201d and co-investigator\/executive member, RehabMALL Living Lab (2011 \u2013 2016, 1.4M$ awarded). She was Vice Dean, Graduate Studies (2006-2014) and Vice Dean Research (2006-2010), Faculty of Environmental Design (Universite de Montreal).<\/p>\n
