During this one hour webinar, you will develop an overview of primary egress and fire protection requirements, based on the 2015 National Building Code of Canada (NBC) and the 2012 Ontario Building Code (OBC). Familiarize yourself with the common application requirements for multiple tenant floor areas focusing on office occupancies, as well as pertinent definitions of NBC terms. Brush up your knowledge of fire separations, public corridors, suite egress, travel distance, cross-over provisions, mag-locks, and barrier-free protection on floor areas.<\/p>\n

Presenter:<\/strong> Lisa Miller-Way, LRI Engineering Inc.<\/p>\n

Lisa Miller-Way is the Director, Project Management with LRI \u2013the largest wholly-Canadian owned engineering firm specializing exclusively in fire protection engineering, building and fire code consulting, and emergency planning services. She is a graduate of Conestoga College (Architecture Construction Engineering Technology), a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists [OACETT] and a member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). In addition to over 17 years of expertise in Building Code and fire protection engineering gained on a wide variety of complex building projects, Lisa serves on the Ontario Building Code Commission.<\/p>\n
