Lessons learned from the pandemic emphasize the critical need to balance durability, cleanability, and sustainability. By developing comprehensive Owner Project Requirements (OPR) with input from an interdisciplinary team, decision-makers can identify, prioritize, and specify products that effectively support the health and well-being of patients, residents, staff, and visitors.

An expert panel will share strategies for aligning the diverse needs of stakeholders—including the C-suite, facility management, infection control, environmental services, quality assurance, and frontline care teams—alongside design professionals, product manufacturers, and installers. Attendees will gain insights into how multi-attribute certifications, ecolabels, and performance characteristics can streamline product selection and enhance decision-making. This session will equip attendees with the knowledge and resources to confidently specify products that meet performance demands without compromising sustainability, ultimately leading to more effective and resilient healthcare environments.

Who Should Attend

A&D Professionals

Sales/Marketing Professionals

Facility Managers, Owners & CEOs

Instructors and Students

Manufacturers of Commercial Furniture and Accessories

Suppliers to the Commercial Furniture Industry

Presenters

Barbara Dellinger, MA, FIIDA, EDAC, CHID, MDCID, NCIDQ; Principal; Dellinger Consulting, LLC

As a healthcare interior designer for 40 years, Barbara has provided planning and interior design for projects ranging from small clinics to very large, 1M+ sq. ft., $1+B military hospitals.
