PROpel is a national competition created exclusively for emerging leaders, providing the opportunity for engagement in discussions and connections with influential representatives in the interior design community. This year, the opportunity to engage and connect with designers in the industry will look a little different in light of the effects of the global pandemic. Instead, each participant will be announced as part of a promotional series on a weekly basis with a short profile published across IDC\u2019s social media platforms, newsletters and honoured at the IDC Awards Celebration on September 23, 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meagan Buchanan is a proud Torontonian with a passion for design. For the past four years she has worked as an interior designer at HOK, completing complex corporate interiors projects. Her technical credentials include NCIDQ, WELL AP, and LEED GA. As a highly creative interior designer brimming with ideas, she has been able to hone her skills to transform her clients’ dreams into successful spaces that are both innovative and functional. Meagan has three award wins for Stryker’s Canadian Headquarters, including IDC\u2019s VODA Award of Excellence, ARIDO Award of Merit, and the REmmy Award for Workplace Design. She was also part of the team that received an ARIDO Award of Merit for HOK\u2019s confidential pension project. Among her colleagues, she has been recognized as an emerging creative leader through a practice-wide initiative, HOK NExT (Nurture Empowerment eXploration Transformation), where the company posed the question, \u00ab\u00a0What if you had one day to change the shape of our practice?\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
