IDC is offering students a reduced membership fee for the remainder of the year.<\/p>\n<p>How IDC helps students:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Online access to job opportunities through the <a href=\"https:\/\/idcanada.org\/career-centre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Career Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Direct connection to members plus invites to industry events<\/li>\n<li>Access to nationwide education seminars and webinars (CEUs)<\/li>\n<li>Annual awards and scholarships program<\/li>\n<li>Subscription to <em>i+D<\/em> magazine, the industry-leading North American design magazine<\/li>\n<li>Industry news and updates through monthly newsletters<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of your work through IDC\u2019s social media channels<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy tools to help you succeed<\/li>\n<li>Credentials for future employers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Annual Scholarships &amp; Bursaries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Robert Ledingham Scholarship<\/strong> \u2013 awarded to one or more candidates who have recently been accepted, or who are currently enrolled (within their first year of study) in graduate school at the master\u2019s or doctorate level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bob\u2019s Your Uncle Bursary<\/strong> \u2013 awarded to one or more emerging professionals who, for reasons of financial hardship, are unable to join their provincial interior design association as an Intern\/Provisional member.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wayne Thomson Bursary<\/strong> \u2013 awarded to one or more candidates under financial hardship who have recently completed the IDFX, IDPX and are eligible for or have completed the practicum for the NCIDQ.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Value of Design Awards (VODA)<\/strong> student competition \u2013 recognizes student projects that outline the design process, challenges, research and business drivers, the inspiration for the direction, steps for implementation, and benefit to the client.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What students bring to IDC:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help move the profession forward<\/li>\n<li>Add strength in numbers<\/li>\n<li>Contribute new and innovative ideas<\/li>\n<li>Advocate for the profession<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students can <a href=\"https:\/\/idcanada.org\/interior-design-101\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">learn more about the standards<\/a> that make up the interior design professions.
