After careful consideration, and in consultation with our Design Symposium sponsors, in accordance with health guidance from the Government of Canada and the World Health Organization, and in response to the evolving situation with respect to the coronavirus (COVID-19), IDC has made the difficult decision to cancel this year\u2019s Design Symposium.<\/p>\n
The event was scheduled to take place in Toronto, Ont., Sept. 22 & 23, 2020, in celebration of Canadian interior design and the work of our talented members across the country.<\/p>\n
The health and safety of our attendees, sponsors, and staff are of utmost importance to IDC. At this time, the potential health hazards involved with traveling to and attending the event outweigh its many benefits.<\/p>\n
IDC will continue to honour and celebrate our members\u2019 ongoing work and accomplishments through our various programs. Some of IDC\u2019s programming that was originally part of the Design Symposium, such as the Value of Design Awards<\/a>, the PROpel Emerging Leaders Program<\/a>, IDC Fellows<\/a>, the IDC Legacy Award for Distinguished Service<\/a>, and our scholarship and bursary programs<\/a>, will be held virtually this year.
