On March 12th, IDC and the IDIBC Vancouver Island Chapter hosted another edition of DesignEx, bringing together IDC members, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry representatives on Vancouver Island, B.C.<\/p>\n
With over 145 designers in attendance, the event was held at the stunning Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria and featured IDCEC-approved seminars, a networking lunch, and the signature table-top show including a door prize draw.<\/p>\n
DesignEx Vancouver Island presented three seminars including \u201cDesign Thinking at Work,\u201d \u201cThe Waltz of Light and Architecture,\u201d and \u201cCarving New Spaces Together: Interior Design in Cultural Collaboration with Indigenous Artists.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event also featured a table-top show where 52 companies showcased their latest products and services. Attendees had the opportunity to explore new products and connect with manufacturers, suppliers, fellow interior designers, architects and others from the building industry, all in one place while enjoying drinks and snacks. The day concluded with a prize draw where several lucky attendees won various sponsor prizes.<\/p>\n
DesignEx Vancouver Island’s Platinum Sponsors, Splashes Bath & Kitchen and Lixil, generously hosted a launch party thrown the evening before the event. The launch party, attended by over 200 people, included a DJ, photo booth, bar service and catering, giveaways and door prizes, and networking opportunities for all.<\/p>\n
