On Nov. 30, the Toronto design community gathered for the\u00a0IDC Regional Impact Breakfast<\/a> to connect and celebrate design. The Impact Breakfast honours the significant contributions of Canadian interior design professionals and the impact their legacy continues to have on the interior design community.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event, presented by\u00a0ShawContract<\/a>, was an opportunity for attendees to connect and network over a delectable breakfast and celebrate the continuously evolving legacy of this year\u2019s honourees, Allan Guinan and Caroline Hughes, who along with Chris Wright and others co-founded Figure3, one of Canada\u2019s most distinguished interior design firms.<\/p>\n

Upon receiving the award, the honourees remarked that \u00ab\u00a0to be acknowledged by our peers for contributions to our interior design industry is a very humbling experience. Our volunteer association work outside of our firm was always about connecting with our peers in the industry – and collaborating to create programs and initiatives designed to continually elevate our capabilities as designers of the spaces experienced by society at large. The quiet dedication of the many volunteers in IDC and the provincial associations has been instrumental in the growing strength of the Canadian interior design community. We are honoured to be recognized as participants in this dynamic and transformative industry.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Allan and Caroline were interviewed on stage by Deborah Wang, Artistic Director at DesignTO, for an insightful and inspiring IDCEC-accredited discussion of their design journey.<\/p>\n
