Value of Design Awards\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n IDC\u2019s Value of Design Awards (VODA) shine a spotlight on Canadian interior designers by providing a forum to showcase the benefits of design thinking: an empathetic, inventive, and iterative process focused on the human experience within interior spaces. These awards demonstrate the positive human and business impact of design thinking for the people and companies who hire a professional interior designer. By measuring the benefits and outcomes of design, IDC is showcasing the true value of design across the country and beyond.<\/p>\n DOWNLOAD GUIDE<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0SUBMIT APPLICATION<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Innovation in Design Thinking: IDC Student Competition<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n In 2021, IDC created a new opportunity exclusively for Canadian interior design students. The purpose of this competition is to provide students with a national platform to demonstrate the value of interior design and illustrate the positive impact design has on the users of the spaces, supported by evidence-based research.<\/p>\n Entries may be concepts or innovative processes at any scale or in any sector. Submissions must clearly communicate the intended value to the people, business, or society at large.<\/p>\n DOWNLOAD GUIDE<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0SUBMIT APPLICATION<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Innovation Awards<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Established in 1984, IDC organized the Innovation Awards to honour excellence in product design and creativity. Entries are open exclusively to 2023 IDC Industry Partners. Entries must successfully address a list of criteria, including problem solving, budget, strategy, environmental responsiveness, sustainability, and marketing objectives. In addition to receiving certificates, successful entries will be given the opportunity to showcase their products to top design specifiers across North America and will receive extensive exposure during IDC\u2019s Design Symposium and IDC\u2019s Awards Celebration. An elite team of judges, composed of prominent interior designers and specifiers from across North America, will judge and select winning products.
