On April 14, IDC hosted the second of two Industry Sales Professionals Course (ISPC) panels in Vancouver, B.C., following the IDC/IIDA Leaders Breakfast the previous day.
The event, which brings together IDC members, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry representatives was hosted at the Global Furniture Group showroom, who were the event sponsor.
This panel discussion was moderated by CEO Trevor Kruse in conversation with Kathie Tupper, Design and Specifications Manager Western Canada at Formations Inc. Canada, Cheryl Broadhead, Principal at BYU Design, and Christine Boultbee, Interior Designer at Kasian Architecture, Interior Design and Planning.
This course is tailored exclusively to meet the needs of architecture and design industry sales professionals and features a Q&A session with the panel.
The discussion focused on interactions between industry and designers, how firms are currently working, the needs of the design community, and ideas industry members can use when working with designers.
Panelist Kathie Tupper says that the conversation was inspiring and offered valuable insight to all career levels in the audience.
“Very open discussion on how the past few years have effected our industry as a whole on both the human and business sense,” says Tupper.
A Global Furniture Group representative noted that they « enjoyed hosting the event very much and that it was a huge success. »
Participants who joined both ISPC events in Vancouver (March 8 and April 14) will receive an official ISPC certificate and LinkedIn designation.
IDC thanks event hosts Cantu Bathrooms & Hardware (March 8) and Global Furniture Group (April 14) for their support of the interior design community.
IDC’s next ISPC offering will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 22.
