Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) is preparing its sixth Design Symposium this fall. On October 25-27, 2023, participants from the design and architecture community across Canada are invited to the Teknion showroom in downtown Toronto, to learn together, connect, and network.
The symposium is made possible by the generous support from Teknion, Lutron, Benjamin Moore, and Fisher & Paykel Appliances Canada Inc.
“From our inception, Teknion has been an advocate for the Canadian design industry, » says Pamela Mason, Director, Canadian Marketing, Teknion. “We are proud of our ongoing relationship with IDC and are delighted, once again, to be a part of the IDC Symposium and continue the conversation regarding the transformative role design plays within our community, and the world at large.”
Participants can expect to attend design tours of notable member projects, connect and network with peers, collect IDCEC credits through panel discussions, hear from incredible speakers, participate in workshops, and celebrate the best of interior design at the IDC awards celebration, featuring the prestigious Value of Design Awards (VODA).
“Lutron has been a proud sponsor of the IDC Symposium for over five years, and we’re excited to once again, celebrate the thriving and diverse interior design industry,” says Sasha Denisov, Luxury Residential Solutions, Canada East, Lutron. “This year’s theme, ‘Together, United’ is more important than ever as it honours individual strengths, unique backgrounds, and approaches, while celebrating unity, collaboration and togetherness,” she adds.
The event also features the Propel Emerging Leaders program for students and interns, and the IDC Annual General Meeting, where members will get an update on IDC’s activities over the past year and connect the IDC Board of Directors.
