Welcome to the 12th PIDIM MDE
The Manitoba Design Expo (MDE) is an annual, one-day trade show for the design community of Manitoba presented by the Professional Interior Designers Institute of Manitoba (PIDIM). This event provides an informal and informative atmosphere designed to offer a snapshot of the latest products and services. The MDE also serves as an excellent networking opportunity – bringing the design and vendor communities together. Enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and the chance to walk away with one of the many sponsored door prizes! Previous years have included almost 90 exhibitor spots!
This year you can also join PIDIM in celebrating the best of prairie interior design as they host the Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan Interior Design (MASI) awards in Winnipeg! The awards gala is being held Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at The Leaf.
Frequently Asked Questions – Attendees
Who can attend the MDE?
The MDE is an event for design professionals including interior designers, architects, facility managers, contractors, estimators, and design students. It is a professional, licensed event – attendees must be over 18.
Is there a fee to attend the MDE?
There is no charge to attend the MDE!
How do I register?
If you are a member of PIDIM you will be getting an invitation in early September. Click on the « Register Now » in your invitation and fill in your details. If you’re not already a member of PIDIM and you’re a designer or interior design student, contact PIDIM for more information on how you can become a member.
Can I get CEUs by attending?
Yes! You can claim your attendance at the tradeshow by submitting your name badge as proof of attendance. You can also sign up for the Catch Up On CEU’s day sessions offered during the day of the tradeshow. A separate registration is required for the Catch Up CEUs – look for the link in your MDE invitation to sign up for these as well.
How can I get more involved?
The MDE is put together by a committee of volunteers made up of interior designers and industry representatives. If you’re interested in helping out, contact us at mde@pidim.ca and we’ll be happy to add you to our team!
