IDA CEU: Fire Separations – National Building Code 2023 Alberta Edition

Join Interior Designers of Alberta (IDA) for an IDCEC-approved 1.5 General CEU webinar! Attend an educational session with Kim Karns to learn about the most recent developments around fire separation.
Kim brings over 21 years of experience working with Provincial, National & International Building Codes. Kim refined her skills as a Code Consultant in Ontario and Alberta with Larden Muniak Consulting Inc. She then provided in-house consulting for Riddell Kurcazba Architecture Engineering Interior Design Ltd. before incorporating her own consulting firm in 2015.
With her knowledge, Kim has provided Code analyzes for many existing and proposed buildings, focusing on life- and fire-safety. Kim has performed Code reviews, developed alternative solutions, and conducted audits for various projects including arenas, exhibition halls, high rises, multi-family residential, hospitals and industrial buildings.
Kim has presented continuing education seminars related to Building Codes and life safety subject matter since 2004. She has presented accredited seminars for Alberta WoodWorks!/Canadian Wood Council, BuildEx, Canadian Home Builders Association (Alberta), IIDEX, Interior Designers of Canada, Safety Codes Council, and various architectural and design firms.
