Last week IDC held its Summer Mixer event, in partnership with DesignTO, which was hosted at the Euro Tile & Stone Showroom in Toronto.
The networking event, created exclusively for members of IDC and DesignTO featured Mason Studio Co-Founder and Executive Director, Ashley Rumsey, and Design Director, Marti Gallucci, in conversation with IDC CEO, Trevor Kruse.
The discussion centered around art, design, and collaboration in practice and the event was an opportunity to mix and mingle with interior designers, artists, and makers.
Mason Studio’s team provided insight into their experiences of supporting artists and their work and shared ideas about how to successfully create community collaboration and engagement that benefit interior design firms and the artists they engage for projects.
The conversation wrapped with time for questions from the audience, which ranged from tips on making connections to the potential impact of artificial intelligence on the fields of art and design.

“We were glad to host the summer mixer event by IDC, DesignTO, and Mason Studio,” says Euro Tile & Stone Operations Manager, Giancarlo Colasanti. “We believe events like this are an important ground for making meaningful connections, learning from each other, and contributing to the interior design community of Canada. Hosting it is an honour for us, and we are glad everyone enjoyed their time at our spacious showroom.”

Although the September deadline for submissions may seem distant, the summer and early fall go by quickly, and late submissions will not be accepted.
