SUMMARY:2025 IDC Impact Award Central
DESCRIPTION:The IDC Impact Award\, presented by ShawContract\, celebrates the significant contributions of Canadian design professionals and the impact their legacy continues to have on the interior design community. \nSee recaps of last year’s Impact Award events in Calgary\, Toronto\, and Vancouver. \nThis year’s honourees are members of the celebrated design firm\, Mason Studio\, who will be interviewed in a live conversation on stage. This event will count towards 1 IDCEC hour. \nPurchase Your Ticket! \nHonourees: \nStanley Sun\, Co-Founder\, Creative Director\, Mason Studio \nStanley Sun’s vision is informed by a unique blend of formal studies in human sciences\, fine arts and interior design. Approaching each challenge with a combined scientific and humanistic perspective\, he first observes how people experience and react to the built environment to create a rational and intuitive design solution. Of particular interest to Stanley’s practice is the science of light and the physiological and psychological response people have to light. As an advocate for Canadian design\, Stanley has been published widely and has participated as a keynote speaker at leading design conferences. He is also a sessional instructor at his alma mater\, Toronto Metropolitan University. \nAshley Rumsey\, Co-Founder\, Executive Director\, Mason Studio \nAshley Rumsey brings the highest standards to both the design vision of projects and the management of the Mason Studio team. An advocate of purposeful design\, Ashley has been a key part of the development of Mason Studio’s innovative research-based process. She ensures design decisions are thoughtfully evaluated based on their potential contribution to the end user\, design process\, and client’s goals. Her collaborative approach ensures a broad-based perspective\, leveraging the skills and knowledge of the entire team to fully inform each design project. As a respected leader in the Canadian design community\, Ashley has also been featured in international design media and regularly participates in thought leadership at notable conferences and events. \nMarti Gallucci\, Design Director\, Mason Studio \nAs Mason Studio’s first full-time team member\, Marti Gallucci helped shape the studio’s collaborative approach. Her leadership blends structure with intuition\, drawing on a background in architecture\, art history\, and interior design to guide hospitality\, wellness\, and residential projects that balance atmosphere with intent. Known for her clarity and care\, Marti builds teams that listen closely\, think critically\, and design spaces that connect deeply with people and place. \nAbout Mason Studio: \nMason Studio is a design firm and cultural engine where interiors are shaped by global thinking\, cultural curiosity\, and impact. Their work is grounded in human behaviour\, sensory awareness\, and cultural fluency\, giving form to ideas that leave a lasting impression. Co-founders Ashley Rumsey and Stanley Sun met in design school\, later taking separate paths\, Stanley to London\, United Kingdom\, and Ashley in Canada\, working on international projects. During a visit to London\, a conversation in a pub sparked the idea for what would become Mason Studio: a shared vision to shape a new wave of Canadian design rooted in collaboration and human experience. \nThe name Mason honours Ashley’s grandfather and Stanley’s father\, both stone masons\, and represents the collective effort of all those who help bring design to life. Today\, Mason Studio is a team of approximately 25 designers\, technologists\, artists\, and procurement specialists working seamlessly together to realize each project. They partner with leaders in hospitality\, wellness\, and forward-thinking development who understand that design goes beyond aesthetics. It is what it does\, what it welcomes\, and what it communicates. Design earns trust and drives value. Whether they are creating a new hospitality concept\, longevity intervention\, or multi-unit habitat\, they translate complexity into clarity and vision into place. \nMason Studio’s practice is built on the convergence of disciplines: interior design and art\, human science and storytelling. As both a design studio and art consultancy\, they deliver a rare integration that strengthens identity\, deepens emotional connection\, and builds cultural relevance from the ground up. They believe that design is never static. It evolves. That is why experimentation is embedded into their process\, from prototyping new spatial ideas to exploring sensory strategies and future-forward materials. They create with curiosity and adapt with intention. Mason Studio is a Certified B Corporation\, reflecting the belief that purposeful design should mean powerful business. It should reduce waste\, repurpose intelligently\, and strengthen the communities it touches. \nAt the heart of their practice is the Cultural Hub\, a space where ideas are tested\, exhibitions are explored\, and conversations unfold. Here\, they host artists\, educators\, nonprofits\, and some of the most forward-thinking brands. The Hub is more than a studio. It is a civic gesture. A place that proves leadership in design begins with listening\, convening\, and building together. \nPurchase Your Ticket! \nEvent Details: \nLocation: ARIA 25 York St. (ground floor) Toronto\, ON M5J 2V5 (View Map)\nDate: Thursday\, Dec. 4\, 2025\nTime: 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. ET \nTable Opportunities for Partners \n\n\n\nChampion Table – $5\,000\n\n\n2 x VIP table location for 10 (20 seats)\nYour company’s name included on table signage\nYour company’s logo added to IDC’s event web page\nYour company’s logo included on IDC communications tools (IDC newsletter\, email event notices\, social media\, etc.)\nYour company’s logo included in the Impact Award event presentation\nOpportunity to place your company’s promotional item on each breakfast chair (approximately 300 items required)\nYour company mentioned as a sponsor in the event announcement\n\n\n\n\nPatron –\n$3\,000\n\n\nPreferred table location for 10\nYour company’s name included on table signage\nYour company’s logo added to IDC’s event web page\nYour company’s logo included on email event notices to all IDC members\nYour company’s logo included in the Impact Award event presentation\n\n\n\n\nTable of Ten – \n$2\,000\n\n\nSelect table location for 10\nYour company’s name included on table signage\nYour company’s logo added to IDC’s event web page\nYour company’s logo included on email event notices to all IDC members\nYour company’s logo included in the Impact Award event presentation\n\n\n\n\n\nPurchase Your Table. \nFor questions\, and to secure a table without attendee names\, please contact: \nBarbora Krsiakova\, IDC Director\, Business Development at bkrsiakova@idcanada.org \nPresented by:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nTable Sponsors:
