From conversations about leadership and AI trends, to workshops about workplace happiness, empathy and research – there is something for everyone at this year’s Design Symposium.
The two-day event kicks off on Oct. 29 with a keynote presentation by leadership expert and bestselling author, Hamza Khan.
Following the keynote, attendees will dive right in with a fireside chat on human-centric design presented by Teknion, followed by workshops on the business of interior design, creative wellness, designing for the senses, and the impact of AI on your business. Additionally, three presentations will address design trends and topics in interior design.
Day two begins with a presentation on research by the Dean of Design at OCADU, Lesley-Ann Noel. The rest of programming will take attendees on a journey of discovery about the circular economy, the power of marketing for your business, and finding your behavioural style in the workplace.
The learning continues with walking tours to nearby design projects, followed by the IDC Awards Celebration for those planning to attend.
Design Symposium attendees can collect up to 14 IDCEC hours at this year’s Design Symposium, including 4 HSW hours. Additional hours may be available with the inclusion of design tours and dinners. The symposium schedule and final IDCEC hours offered are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, visit the IDC Design Symposium page, which will be updated regularly.
