On November 16, IDC, Benjamin Moore, ShawContract, and Teknion presented a new take on holiday gatherings, focusing on connection and meaningful discussions surrounding inclusivity.
In collaboration with the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the event, held at Teknion’s downtown Toronto showroom, featured an IDCEC-accredited panel discussion, “The Future of Workplace Wellness,” on the hot topic of WELL Equity Rating-certified spaces, which aim to promote workplace inclusivity. The discussion centered around the success achieved by currently certified spaces, as well as different ways to tackle various contemporary inclusivity and diversity issues.
The panel was comprised of industry leaders Olesy Alekseev, Vice President and Canada Country Lead at International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), Tracy Backus, Director, Sustainable Programs at Teknion, Kellie Ballew, Vice President of Global Sustainability & Innovation at Shaw Industries, and Caitlin Turner, Senior Principal and Director of Design, Interiors at HOK.
Following the panel, attendees had a chance to network and connect with design professionals from the Greater Toronto Area and enjoy delicious and healthy food including charcuterie treats, delectable prosecco wine, and desserts – in keeping with the event’s wellness theme.
