Studio Paolo Ferrari is seeking an Intermediate Designer to support the design, and delivery of hospitality, retail, residential, and luxury interior design projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Concept development, space planning, and material direction.
  • Prepare presentation packages, design boards, renderings, and visual storytelling.
  • Produce and coordinate drawing sets.
  • Manage FF&E research, specifications, and tagging.
  • Prepare and coordinate documentation for tender, permit, fabrication, and construction packages.
  • Evaluate and curate material selections with consideration for design intent, performance, and budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants and vendors, and participate in coordination meetings
  • Review and contribute to technical drawing submissions.
  • Guide junior team members, support their work and contribute to team efficiency.

The role will be performed in English.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of interior design or architectural experience in hospitality or luxury interior environments.
  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • Advanced experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).Technical ability in Rhino and/or Revit.
  • Demonstrated experience designing hospitality, retail, residential or other high end interior environments.
  • Experience preparing comprehensive drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules and specifications.
  • Experience with FF&E selection, specification development, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, fabrication processes, and project delivery within hospitality and luxury design projects.
  • Experience participating in all phases of the design process, from concept development through construction administration.
  • Professional certification an asset.

This is a full-time (40-hours per week), permanent position at our office located at 300 Campbell Avenue, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario, M6P 3V6.

The annual salary range for this position is CAD$75,000 to CAD$82,000, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be eligible to participate in the company’s benefits program, including extended health & dental coverage, life and AD&D insurance, and long-term disability.
